Mountain Mustangs

Mick and Gabriela "Storm" Grabowsky are quintessential mountain people. They have lived in a remote area of the Purcell Mountains of British Columbia for over twenty five years. 'Rainbow's End Ranch' is situated on pristine Glacier Creek north of Kootenay Lake. It is home for them and their unique "family" of mountain bred horses that free range some of the wildest mountainous terrain in the province. Their simplistic earthbound lifestyle and the delicate ecosystem of beautiful Glacier Creek may be coming to an end compliments of Gordon Campbell and the BC Government. Glacier Creek is one of over six hundred watersheds in our province slated for destruction by private power development under the new BC Energy Plan.

Well done, Doug, the photos and the efforts to raise awareness.

Beautiful photography capturing a natural Kootenay lifestyle with conscience and direction so that hopefully not only might this lifestyle be saved but also the ecosystem that supports it.
